employer growth & onboarding

the funnel for new employers had become clunky, inconsistent, and impersonal leading to flat growth (yoy).

as the ux designer supporting Identity & Onboarding, I led the north star vision and incremental A/B execution for employer-specific account creation, authentication, & onboarding. contributions included: vision & strategy, workshop facilitation, user research, a/b testing, leadership presentations, scope defining, and more.

on Indeed's Identity (CIAM) team, we needed to reduce fraud and ensure our platform had legitimate job seekers. working closely with product, legal, engineering, twilio, client success, & content -  I created a scalable experience that was implemented at the 3 most critical job seeker flows: registration, login, and apply.

building trust with verification badges

after working on Trust & Safety for 2 years, I wondered why Indeed hadn't incorporated the ubiquitous blue verified checkmark.

I hypothesized it'd foster trust across our marketplace, encouraging more connections between employers & jobseekers.

I spearheaded this 0 → 1 design initiative by visioning initial concepts, validating with user research, collaborating with engineering on trust data model, influencing teams to test, and iterating post-launch.

benefit discovery & subscriptions

out of 100+ UMSI students, my 3 teammates and I were picked for Microsoft's Capstone project. we collaborated closely with Microsoft product and engineering stakeholders.

we successfully designed a data-driven experience that rethinks how we sell subscriptions to users and streamlines the process for finding benefits.

simplifying job management

providing a pair of fresh eyes, I dove into Indeed's powerful employer dashboard space and uncovered simple yet impactful improvements.

by conducting an extensive UX audit, prioritizing pain points, and validating design solutions with research, I contributed towards the team's long term vision. 2 years later, a simplified dashboard was released that built upon my design and research.

increasing engagement and discovery

music is my love language. after listening to frustrations of my peers, I crafted a Spotify feature to help people express themselves through music and connect with one another.

although a side project, I'm keeping this on my portfolio until I work at Spotify.

the secret to good design is an impactful and measurable story, centered around our users and the challenges we help them overcome.
outside of design, you can find me working on my next magazine publication (1), leaving film reviews on Letterboxd (2), and reading 50 books a year (3).
